1Cultivation Technician - Adrian, Michigan

Position Summary: Cultivation Technicians are responsible for the care of medical marijuana plants during the immature, vegetative, and flowering stages. Cultivation Technicians execute operations pertaining to plant care such as pruning, transplanting and up-potting, watering, feeding, ensuring environmental control, and inspecting plants for signs of deficiency or infestation, as well as labeling and tracking plants using METRC tags. They implement cultivation practices as indicated by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and often operate in specific areas, as separated by plant production areas, in order to focus their role and responsibilities.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the health of immature, vegetative and flowering plants through observation and adherence to established SOPs
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness with regard to plant health and traceability, in order to uphold the company’s standard for quality
  • Perform plant maintenance, feedings and irrigation events, and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) according to a set schedule and SOP, as determined by the Head of Cultivation
  • Apply pesticides in a safe and effective manner, wearing appropriate PPE, and after ample training and instruction from the Head of Cultivation
  • Ensure the grow facility is kept free of pests, viruses, or other diseases by preventing contamination through proper use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and biological controls established within 
  • Implement a mother plant maintenance program with oversight from the Head of Cultivation
  • Observe and immediately address issues with plants, equipment, or environments
  • Ensure accuracy of plant inventory, including strain names, plant tag numbers, and counts of plants
  • Check and record accurate data daily, including but not limited to: pesticide applications, issues found when scouting plants, and any other items required by management
  • Break down and set up plant production areas after harvest, including: sweep all work areas, sanitize crop benches and prepare to transplant new crops
  • Assist with post-harvest duties as needed
  • Assist in inspections, whether initiated internally or through a governing entity, using inventory and compliance audits
  • Work in a timely manner and strive to increase productivity through coordinated workflow and efficient systems
  • Maintain organization and sanitary conditions within the grow facility
  • Regularly sanitize tools, equipment, and production areas used in the grow facility to ensure sanitary practices
  • Abide by high personal hygiene standards

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-3 years of experience in agriculture, landscaping, horticulture or marijuana cultivation preferred 
  • Knowledge of uses and benefits of cannabinoids preferred
  • Basic strain and plant structure knowledge preferred
  • Ability to pass a background check required
  • Energetic team player, willing to take direction and learn new skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and accurately
  • Willingness to comply with state regulations and guidelines
Physical Requirements:
  • Long periods of prolonged standing and sitting
  • Requires bending and lifting up to 70 pounds
  • Some crouching or holding uncomfortable positions for extended periods of time; repetitive motions
  • Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity 
Work Environment:
  • Similar to a busy manufacturing facility or warehouse
  • Occasional exposure to loud trim machines (ear protection provided) and extremely bright lights (eye protection provided)
  • Occasional weekend or extended hours may be necessary during certain phases of plant production

Position Summary:
The Cannabis Advisor reports to a Provisioning Center (PC) Assistant Manager and is responsible for supporting the PC’s operations including, but not limited to; customer service, inventory, and facility cleanliness. The position is a key role for the company and is a critical component of the organization’s success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides excellent customer service and guidance to patients. Presents patients with a “menu” of currently available medical Marijuana products, assists in the selection of products, provides advice based on the patient’s comments and medical Marijuana treatment plan.
  • Manages inventory within the provisioning center by handling incoming shipments, completing any accompanying paperwork, and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Works collaboratively with other advisors to satisfy patient needs.
  • Operates cash registers, performs data entry, inventory count, and updates patient records and profiles.
  • Assesses patient records at the counter terminal, confirms patient’s identity through visual confirmation of documents and determines the patient’s eligibility for purchasing medical Marijuana based upon legal limits.
  • Manages the patient procurement process according to company regulations.
  • Provides patients and prospective patients with all printed information materials regarding medical Marijuana. Addresses questions regarding services and products available.
  • Work with PC leadership to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure PC maintains a clean appearance by sweeping, mopping, and window cleaning as needed.
  • Maintain product in-stock and on shelves in accordance with company standards.
  • Assist patients via phone to answer questions about products and orders.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:
  • One to two years in sales, retail, or hospitality with significant customer facing experience.
  • Maintain a clean appearance and professional demeanor.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Effective communication in the English language with all stakeholders.
  • Computer and equipment operations for running an office/retail center (POS systems, Word/Excel, and office equipment such as copiers/telephone systems).
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and ability to interpret sales data.
  • Skilled in accurate cash management and inventory control.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business.
  • Must be 21 years old.

Position Summary:
The Receptionist reports to a Provisioning Center (PC) Assistant Manager and is responsible for supporting the PC’s operations including, but not limited to; creating a welcoming customer experience, providing administrative support, and ensuring a clean and safe environment. The position is a key role for the company and is a critical component of the PC’s success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Generate a welcoming environment by greeting and checking-in prospective, new, and returning patients.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to the PC leadership team and staff, including; mail distribution, SOP updates, social media management, creating patient folders, organizing marketing materials, and managing entertainment in waiting area.
  • Maintain a friendly, courteous, and compassionate demeanor in dealing with patients.
  • Facilitate check-in process and direct new and existing patients to appropriate Cannabis Advisors.
  • Provide reliable and accurate information to incoming callers in a friendly manner. Take messages and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Confirm changes in the patient’s address or physician’s recommendation that may have occurred since the patient’s last visit. Ensure patient files are up to date.
  • Work to facilitate internal communications by providing information to employees, sales representatives vendors, etc.
  • Organize the queue of patients so they are seen in the order of arrival and make exceptions as needed.
  • Provide entry to the Provisioning Center Customer Service Area once patient’s registration has been completed.
  • Ensure a clean waiting area by sweeping and mopping interior and exterior spaces as needed. Will perform light snow removal if necessary. Maintain clean bathroom by removing garbage from bathroom and ensures items are restocked.
  • Help with updating leafly/ weedmaps in order to communicate current inventory and special offers.
  • Work with security to ensure patient safety and flow.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:
  • One to three years working as a receptionist in a professional environment with significant customer facing experience.
  • Experience managing a complex phone system, along with strong Microsoft Office Suite exposure.
  • Maintain a clean appearance and professional demeanor.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Effective communication in the English language with all stakeholders.
  • Must be 21 years old.
  • SA combination of the above will also be considered.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Previous work history in the medical Marijuana industry or
  • Significant exposure and knowledge of cannabis products and the endocannabinoid system.
  • Point of Sale and broad computer skills.
  • College degree.
