Position Summary:

Reporting to the Purchasing and Inventory Manager, the Inventory Assistant is responsible for monitoring incoming component and supplies inventory and maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity. The position equires strong reliance on accuracy, control, monitoring, and coordination in order to confirm inventory and investigate discrepancies. The Inventory Assistant will also assist with shipping, receiving, & warehouse duties as directed by the supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and ensure incoming component and supply inventory integrity
  • Reconcile orders placed with incoming inventory
  • Maintain product identification and location program
  • Research inventory discrepancies and reconcile differences
  • Complete physical inventories/cycle counts/random or receipt audits/reconciliations
  • Track and report non-conforming product
  • Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner
  • Document damaged product
  • Must be able to pass the forklift certification test and drive a forklift on a daily basis
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Required and Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent required
  • Associates/Bachelors in applied Science (Supply Chain Management) Prefered
  • Recent experience with cycle counting/inventory required
  • Relevant warehouse experience within the last 5 years
  • Must be certified to operate forklift/reach truck at current or previous company
  • Must be computer literate and have experience in any WMS. Red Prairie is preferred
  • Must be detailed oriented and have strong verbal and written skills
  • Must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment, while keeping correct data
  • Must have knowledge of Micrsoft Excel

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

Extensive walking, squatting, reaching, twisting, bending, standing

Lifting up to 75 pounds

Working on wet and/or slippery surfaces
