At Fluresh, we create thoughtfully curated, expertly cultivated and uniquely designed cannabis products tailored to support each person’s dynamic needs.  Fluresh has two state-of-the-art integrated operations in Adrian and Grand Rapids, Michigan, to grow, harvest, process, provision and package the highest quality medical and adult use cannabis products.

Position Summary

The METRC Technician will help ensure the accuracy of Fluresh’s regulatory compliance system for tracking plants and product.  He or she will track and trace METRC data across all facets of operations at the Company’s Grand Rapids, Michigan campus and will follow detailed SOPs to ensure that METRC accurately captures each step of our operations.  The position reports to the Operations Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assure compliance with state regulations by developing a strong understanding of METRC rules
  • Under the direction of department heads, assist with each action required, such as:
    • Create plants as an immature/clone batch in METRC
    • Create plant tags when clones are of sufficient size and/or are transplanted
    • Move plants within METRC as plants age and are moved throughout the cultivation facility
    • Maintain proper plant count as plants are transplanted and eventually harvested
    • Record wet weights, dry weights, waste weights, and destruction weights, in the METRC system when plants are harvested, dried, cured, and trimmed
    • Create package tags as products are produced
    • Create, track, and combine METRC packages throught the extraction and manufacturing process
    • Organize testing batches for safety and research testing
    • Work with outside lab technicians to retrieve samples and submit them for testing
    • Verify transfers of plant material from ay and all Fluresh cultivation licenses
    • Maintain accurate inventory counts across the vault, processing and freezer areas
    • Use a cycle count system to ensure all areas of operation are being physically audited on a regular basis
    • Verify METRC data used to create retail compliance labels
  • Input data records into the METRC system accurately and promptly
  • Assist with inventory counts, package adjustments, and records maintenance
  • Assist in identifying and solving phusical or electronic inventory discrepancies
  • Execute other duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Experience, Education, and Skills:

  • High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience with METRC in the cannabis industry strongly preferred
  • Considerable experience developing and working with Excel spreadsheets
  • Oustanding attention to detail
  • Ability to develop and foster strong working relationships throughout all levels of the organization
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in partnership with colleagues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment
  • Effective time-management skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill
